New Book Inspires Optimism Through Dyslexia and Hardship

Ambitious: One Man’s Journey to Conquer the Darkness of Dyslexia is a new autobiography that chronicles the life of a man who overcame learning disabilities and other major challenges to become a highly respected and successful adult. In the book, author Alex Thomas, who goes by Likewise, demonstrates how instead of giving up, he found creative solutions to grow and succeed when faced by numerous obstacles.

In addition to inspiring stories of resiliency and optimism, Ambitious offers specific strategies for coping with learning disabilities, bullies and fear.

Today Likewise is a model and performer in Pensacola. He has owned his own dance studio, competed in bodybuilding competitions, graduated from Culinary Arts training and enjoys entertaining in nursing homes. However, Likewise says, “It’s not what I accomplished in life but who I have become that is the true triumph.”
