Support Group for Moms Encourages Self-Care

Ashley Barnes and Evangeline Schepper of Pensacola Birth Services have teamed with two local licensed mental health counselors to form LEAPS—Love, Encouragement, and Postpartum Support—a support group focused on encouraging mothers to place a higher importance on self-care. The group meets at the Ever’man Educational Center in Pensacola every first Wednesday and third Saturday of the month at 10 a.m.

Monthly Wellness Classes at Unity of Pensacola

Laurie Azzarella, a licensed massage therapist, reflexologist and educator for Young Living Essential Oils, teaches a monthly wellness class at the Unity of Pensacola Fellowship Hall, located 716 North 9th Avenue. The classes are open to the public with a $5 donation to support the church’s community service programs.
