New Facility Offers Holistic Dental and Sleep Services

Dr. Tara Griffin will hold a ribbon cutting and open house at her new, state-of-the-art facility, Wellness PCB, on August 3 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Located at 900 Thomas Drive in Panama City Beach, Wellness PCB provides dental and sleep services for children and adults. It features the latest dental equipment, massage and heated reclining patient chairs, nitrous for patient anxiety, and music and television in each treatment room.

Griffin and her team are trained for periodontal treatment, dental hygiene, and general and cosmetic dentistry. They take a unique approach to health, she says. “We use 3-D imaging and intraoral x-rays, which give a higher level of detail and lets the oral cavity tell the story about the patient’s health. I have comprehensive lab tests available for diagnosing oral and systemic health concerns, including pharmaceutical-grade nutritional supplements for my patients to enjoy a healthier life.”

Griffin also owns Emerald Coast Dental Spa and Emerald Coast Dental Sleep Medicine, which provides oral appliance therapy for children and adults suffering from sleep disordered breathing. She says symptoms of SDB in children can include ADD/ADHD, bed wetting, chronic allergies, snoring, crooked teeth, ear infections and difficulties in school. For adults, the signs are snoring, anxiety and depression, hypertension, headaches, obesity, TMJ pain and fibromyalgia, with the risk factors of stroke, heart disease, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, GERD and cancer.
