Qualified Green Business Program Launched

The Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce Environment Committee is rolling out an exciting new Qualified Green Business program for chamber members that gives them the ability to be recognized for their efforts to make their business more environmentally sustainable.

Benefits of this program include helping the environment, which helps our local community become more sustainable; helping businesses save on utility bills, thus increasing their profits; and allowing them to market their company to customers that want to do business with an environmentally friendly company.

Members of the Environment Committee handle recycling at Chamber-sponsored events and are working to develop a set of green business guidelines for Chamber-member businesses. The group is chaired by Scott Arnold, of Gulf Power. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, and all Chamber members are invited to attend.
